Classes are scheduled and purchased on a “block” basis, meaning that you book a particular class (e.g. Tuesday 10:45) regularly unless otherwise arranged. This agreement is ongoing as blocks run consecutively. A block of sessions is based on one class per week with payment required every six or ten weeks; multiple classes per week require multiple block purchases. Absences or cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the class to be missed – with the correct notice we can then offer a makeup class. Makeup classes must be arranged and completed within the timeframe of your block where availability allows. If there is no availability to allow for a session to be made up it is forfeited at the end of the block and cannot be carried forwards. It is the responsibility of the client to arrange makeup sessions and flexibility of time and day will likely be required. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, that session is forfeited and cannot be made up. Missed classes cannot be refunded or exchanged for studio credit and have no monetary value. Cancelled classes due to teacher absence will be rescheduled or the expiry date of your block may be altered to reflect this.

Your block cannot be extended for sickness or holidays. In event of serious illness or injury Ismini Studios Ltd may at discretion freeze your block of sessions with proof of a doctor’s certificate. Antenatal clients will have their block put on hold at time of labour until six weeks after giving birth (12 weeks in case of caesarean section), at which time the sessions will resume unless further medical evidence is provided. A block of Six Private Sessions can be booked at a discounted rate and dates should be agreed at the time of purchase – a block Private Sessions must be used within 2 months. All payments are required in advance. 48 hours’ notice is required when cancelling a Private Session; less than 48 hours’ notice incurs 50% of the fee and less than 24 hours’ notice incurs the whole amount of the fee.

Termination Policy

Four weeks’ notice is required if terminating your block of classes and you are not going to renew. Blocks run consecutively and ongoing sessions are assumed unless the appropriate notice is given for termination. There cannot be ‘gaps’ between blocks due to holiday or illness – these count as missed sessions and can be made up within the original timeframe of the block provided there is 24 hours’ notice. Termination notice must begiven in writing to info@isministudios.com. If four weeks’ notice is not given a £45 cancellation fee is charged – this can then be used to attend 4further sessions over 28 days from the end of your last block.

Merchandise Terms & Conditions

If you are not happy with your purchase, we can offer an exchange within 14 days of purchase. To exchange a product, you must provide proof of purchase and the item should be unused, in its original packaging and in a re-sellable condition. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If we take no action or let you off any breach of this agreement or give you extra time to pay or comply, it will not stop us enforcing the terms of this agreement strictly at a future date. This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales. Terms, conditions, pricing and scheduling are subject to change. Any price changes will be given to you in writing at least 28 days before they come into effect.

Please advise us before commencing any session if, for any reason, your health or ability to exercise changes.

It is inadvisable to do Pilates between weeks 8 to 14 of pregnancy, unless by special arrangement with your teacher. It is also wise to wait six weeks after the birth before resuming exercise (twelve weeks in case of caesarean-section). If pregnant, it is strongly recommended that you check with your doctor/midwife at regular intervals if it is still ok for you to exercise.

Pilates exercises are very safe but, as with all forms of physical exercise, it is prudent to consult your doctor before starting Pilates sessions. These sessions are not a substitute for medical counselling or treatment. If you have any doubts about the suitability of the exercises, you should refer back to your medical practitioner.

Ismini Studios can accept no liability for personal injury related to participation in a session if:

– Your doctor has, on health grounds, advised you against such exercise.

– You fail to observe instructions on safety and technique.

– Such injury is caused by the negligence of another participant in the class/studio.

Exercise should be performed at a pace which feels comfortable for you. PAIN is the body’s warning system and should NOT BE IGNORED. Pleaseinform your teacher immediately if you feel any discomfort during a session. Please also inform the teacher if you felt any discomfort after a previous session.
